ZTE along with Cricket Wireless has launched the Grand XMax a 6 inch Phablet for $199.99. The handset will be available in the US within few days. No word about the XMax global launch. The company had recently launched the Zmax.

On the hardware front this ZTE Grand XMax Phablet houses the 1.2GHz Cortex A7 qualcomm snapdragon 200 MSM8212 quad core processor coupled with Adreno 302 GPU. This is a single SIM supported handset that runs Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) out of the box.

Weight with battery is 171 grams and XMax is about 7.9mm thick. It is loaded with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB external card support. The TFT touch screen is 6 inches supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.

This handset also packs an 8MP auto focus camera on the rear with LED flash and a 1MP on the front. Primary camera can shoot 720p videos at 30 fps. The XMax comes with accelerometer, light and proximity sensors.

Additional features are 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. This handset comes with a 3200 mAh battery with quick charge 1.0, takes less time charging and gives much better battery backup.

The ZTE Grand XMax will be available from 10th October in US for $199.
