ZOPO Mobiles has launched the ZOPO ZP990 handset that sports a 6 inch screen and is powered by MT6589 turbo quad core processor.  The ZP990 is available in two variants the ZP990 with 1GB RAM and 32GB storage for Rs. 18,700 and ZP990 with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM for Rs. 22,800. Initially the ZOPO ZP990 handset was launched with 1GB RAM with 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM with 32GB ROM.

The price difference is approx Rs. 4,000 between 1GB and 2GB version (both with 32GB storage), which seems a lot. The ZOPO ZP990 comes powered by MediaTek turbo processor clocked at 1.5GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. Chipset is MT6589T.

This handset is 9.2mm thick and weight is 193 grams. The capacitive touch screen is 6 inches with resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (16M colors). RAM as mentioned is 1GB and 2GB depending on what you choose. Internal storage is 32GB. Micro SD slot is also available to add additional storage space  of up to 64GB.

Other features are common like the 13MP auto focus camera with LED flash and front 5MP camera for video chat. 1080p video recording and playback is supported. 3G (42.2Mbps), Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS are supported.

A 3100 mAh Li-Polymer battery gives a standby time of up to 580 hours. The ZOPO ZP990 is priced at Rs. 18,700 and available in black and white color options.
