Zen mobiles have now launched their UltraTab A100 7 inch tablet running ICS over a 1.2 GHz processor. The specifications are similar to the other tabs available in the market; it seems Zen mobiles have entered this market a bit late.
The Ultratab A100 is light weight at 295 grams with a 10.5 mm thickness. The touchscreen display is 7 inches (16:9 ratio) TFT capacitive with multi touch (5 point) support. This tab too supports the standard resolution of 800×480 pixels.
The computing power is the same @ 1.2GHz (Probably Allwinner CPU) with Mali 400 GPU. A 512 MB RAM and built in 4GB storage is included. The Ultratab A100 runs on ICS or Android 4.0 which should be smoother and performance wise nearly the same as Xtab A10, Wammy 7 and other low cost tablets.
Other features included are Wi-Fi, external 3G support, micro USB and a front 1.3 megapixel camera. External storage slot can house up to 32GB capacity cards. There is the 3.5mm Jack and a 2.5mm DC connecter for charging the tablet.
The Ultratab A100 comes with a 2800 mAh 3.7V li-po battery that gives a standby time of about 14 hours, video playback of up to 4 hours and with Wi-Fi around 3 to 4 hours.
The Zen Mobile Ultratab 7 inch tablet is priced at Rs. 5,999.
