YU yesterday, launched the Yunicorn handset for Rs. 12,999 though the price looked good the handset gave a Déjà vu feel. The YU Yunicorn is a replica of the Meizu M3 Note with minor design change. Here is a comparison between the two.
Déjà vu means already seen, experience already experienced in the past, I too got the same feeling, I felt as if I had already done the review of this newly launched device (check review of Meizu M3 Note). The YU Yunicorn almost resembles the Meizu M3 note. On a close look you will find there are minor design differences.
As far as the hardware is concerned it again almost the same. Both these handsets are powered by Helio P10 octa core processor. Yunicorn and M3 Note both come with 13MP camera on the rear, 5MP on the front and touch ID based finger print sensor. The touch screen is the same 5.5 inches FHD with 2.5D curved glass. These are dual SIM handsets using Hybrid slot.
The difference is that the M3 Note comes with 2GB/3GB RAM, 16GB/32GB ROM, 4100 mAh battery now this when compared with Yunicron you get 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 4000 mAh battery.
If you look at the design the front and the back panel are the same, closely look at the finger print sensor position and the camera on the back, every details are identical. However if you check the sides you will find that the Meizu Note 3 is curvier compared to YU Yunicorn.
I am working on the YU Yunicorn review, coming soon (probably tomorrow). YU Yunicorn will be available on Flipkart for Rs. 12,999.
