The awaited XOLO windows phone is called the XOLO Win Q900s . It claims to be the lightest and the freshest Windows phone. The quad core powered Win Q900s can be pre-booked for Rs. 9,999 for limited units only (5000 units). After that the price will be around 11,999.
Micromax had launched their windows powered phone the Win W121 and the Win W092 both of these are well below Rs. 10,000. The XOLO Win Q900s will compete with these handsets. The Q900s will be released in the 2nd week of July 2014.
For now the introductory price is Rs. 9,999 for the lightest 4.7 inch smartphone. The handset weight with battery is just 100 grams. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. Of the 8GB storage about 5GB will be available for users and the micro SD card slot can add up to 32GB external storage space.
This dual SIM handset is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor (MSM8212) with Adreno 302 GPU (400MHz). The screen as mentioned is 4.7 inches HD IPS OGS with scratch resistant dragon trail glass protection and supporting resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
The Win Q900s also comes with 8MP Auto Focus camera with PureCel sensor and LED flash support. The front camera is of 2MP resolution. Handset can record 720p videos. Key features are 3G, 2G (EDGE/GPRS), Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Win Q900s comes with 1800 mAh battery. There are accelerometer, proximity, magnetic and light sensors.
