XOLO has launched the MT6589 Turbo quad core powered handset – the XOLO Q900T for under Rs. 12,000. Now this smartphone is using the 1.5GHz quad core chipset with PowerVR SGX 544GPU. The key highlight about the Q900T is the curved edge to edge glass display technology that gives stunning 178 degree viewing angle.
When you go through the specifications you will agree that there is nothing new, we have seen the same being used on other brands, however the pricing is very good and the viewing angles as claimed by XOLO.
XOLO Q900T is upgraded version of XOLO Q900 that came powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor. In fact the Q900T is cheaper than its predecessor. Inside the hood it is using the 1.5GHz MediaTek’s MT6589 Turbo quad core cortex A7 processor coupled with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU clocked at 357Mhz.
The screen is 4.7 inches IPS HD with 2.5D curved display for better viewing experience. This handset runs on Android 4.2 and there is no word if it will get the KitKat update (most probably it won’t).
There is 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage and 32GB external card support. The Q900T comes packed with 4 sensors – accelerometer, light, magnetic and proximity. Also included is a front camera of 2MP resolution and rear camera of 8MP resolution with BSI sensor and LED flash support. Full HD video recording @ 30fps and playback is supported.
Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS with A-GPS support. The XOLO Q900T comes with 1800 mAh battery that can be fully charged in less than 4 hours (3.5approx), gives talktime of up to 10 hours on 3G and you can play music with headset for almost 60 hours.
This dual SIM handset is listed on XOLO’s official website with a price tag of Rs. 11,999. It will hit the stores soon.
