XOLO has launched the XOLO One, a low budget smartphone. Now one would think that this is another Android One smartphone, it’s not. XOLO One – this one for everyone, is here to compete with the Android One smartphones. It is priced at Rs. 6,599.

If you go by the looks this one from XOLO would be your first choice. The back panel is with high quality artificial leather finishing, that itself will make the XOLO stand out from the rest. This one (XOLO One) will be available in 4 color options.

It is dual SIM powered by the same MediaTek 1.3GHz MT6582 quad core processor that we have seen on the Android one smartphones. Yes with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. Handset is 9.3mm thick and sports a 4.5 inch IPS screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution.

Android KitKat 4.4.2 runs the show and XOLO has specifically mentioned that this one will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade. There is 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB external card support. A 5MP camera is placed on the rear and front camera is of VGA resolution. It looks like both the cameras as fixed focus.

Common features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and GPS. There are 3 sensors accelerometer, proximity and light. Removable battery is 1700 mAh capacity with up to 8 hours of talk time. Another pointed to be noted is that unlike the Android One phones the XOLO One comes with dedicated navigation buttons.

The XOLO One has got the best look and comes with a good price tag of Rs. 6,599. As for the the Huawei Honor Holly seems a better option for the price / specs, I still have to review these to get a better idea.
