Along with the Xiaomi Redmi 4 (in 2 variants) the company also launched the Xiaomi Redmi 4A handset in China. The 4A is a more trimmed down version, minus the finger print sensor and carrying an attractive price tag of just RMB 499 that comes to approx Rs. 5K.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A features and specifications

Redmi 4A is running MIUI 8 over a 5 inch screen with 720p resolution, it is IPS screen. This dual SIM (Hybrid) handset houses the qualcomm snapdragon 425 quad core processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with Adreno 308 GPU.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A is packed with 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM and 128GB micro SD card support. Weight with battery is 131 grams and thickness is 8.5mm. A 13MP camera is on the back with PDAF, 1080p recording and LED flash support. Front camera is 5MP shooter.

Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi (2.4GHz), Bluetooth and infrared sensor. Finger print sensor is missing. A 3120 mAh battery powers up this handset.

Redmi 4A will be available in China next week in Rose Gold and Gold color options at just RMB 499 (approx Rs. 5K).
