Xiaomi did launch the Redmi 4 handset in China. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be available in two variants, the low end variant is priced at RMB 699 (approx Rs. 7K) and the high end version will be priced at RMB 899 (approx Rs. 9K).

Xiaomi Redmi 4 with Snapdragon 430 features and specifications

This dual SIM handset (using hybrid slot) is running MIUI 8 (Android 6 based) with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, plus external micro SD card support of up to 128GB. This version of Xiaomi Redmi 4 houses the snapdragon 430 1.5GHz 64 bit octa core processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

Touch screen is 5 inches IPS with 2.5D curved glass supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Weight is 156 grams with 4100 mAh battery. A 13MP camera rests on the back with dual tone LED flash support. Rear camera can shoot FHD videos. Front camera is a 5MP shooter.

Key features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1. Finger print sensor and IR is also included. Xiaomi Redmi 4 (snapdragon 430 variant) is priced at RMB 699.

This version of Redmi 4 is also dual hybrid SIM, running MIUI 8 over a 5 inch IPS screen with 2.5D curved glass supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. This Redmi 4 variant is powered by 14 nm snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked at 2GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM + 128GB micro SD card support.

A 13MP camera is packed on the back with 1080p recording and dual tone LED flash support. Front camera is 5MP. Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, IR and finger print sensor. A 4100 mAh battery powers up this handset.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 with snapdragon 625 is priced at RMB 899.

These handsets will be available in China from next week onwards. Most likely Xiaomi might launch these handsets in India.
