Xiaomi has launched their first tablet that closely resembles the Apple iPad Mini. The Xiaomi MiPad comes with a 7.9 inch screen with QXGA resolution and is powered by NVIDIA K1 processor. The Incredibly fast and beautiful tablet is price at approx Rs. 15K for 16GB and Rs. 17K for 64GB version.

No word about the MiPad availability or when and if it will be launched in India. As far as the specifications are concerned no doubt they are impressive, this includes the price tag too. The Xiaomi MiPad will be using the NVIDIA K1 Tegra cortex A15 processor (4+1 cores) with Kepler GPU (192 core). The CPU is clocked at 2.2 GHz.

The IPS touch screen is 7.9 inches supporting resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. Android KitKat 4.4 runs out of the box with 2GB RAM (LPDDR3) and 16/64GB optional storage. There is micro SD card slot that will support cards of up to 128GB.

Also included are dual cameras (f2.0) a 5MP front facing with OmniVision sensor and an 8MP on the rear with BSI sensor. Full HD video recording is supported. Other features are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Xiaomi MiPad Nvidia K1 powered running android 4.4

The Mi-Pad weighs about 359 grams and is 8.5mm thick. The 6700 mAh battery should easily give a usage time of over 7 hours. Xiaomi has not yet, officially entered the Indian markets.
