The much awaited Xiaomi Mi Band 2 has been launched in the Chinese markets for RMB 149 that comes to approx Rs. 1,500. The Mi Band 2 is an upgraded version of the highly popular Mi band, this new band comes with heart rate sensor and also includes an OLED display.

Xiaomi Mi Band 2 features and specifications

Band 2 like its predecessor is IP67 certified (water / dust resistant). It is lightweight at around 7 grams and supports Bluetooth 4.0 LE. This fitness band also comes with a 0.42 inch OLED screen. It’s a non-touch screen – there is a dedicated button available for display options. Screen comes with anti finger print coating and is also scratch resistant to some extent.

This fitness band will monitor your physical activities, steps you have taken, calories burned,  it can monitor your sleep and also keep track of your heart rate (there is built in heart rate sensor).

Xiaomi Mi band 2 launched in China

Xiaomi Mi band 2 houses a 70 mAh battery (Li-po) that as per the company will give up to 20 days of standby time, it is lower than the Mi band, because of the display.

Mi band 2 will be available in colorful options for RMB 149. It will be available from 7th June in China, there is no word about when the Band 2 will be made available in India.
