At an event in China Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mi 5S and the Mi 5S Plus. 5S price starts from RMB 1999 approx Rs. 20K and the 5S Plus is priced at RMB 2299 that comes to approx Rs. 23K. These handsets will initially go on sale in China by end of this month.
The Xiaomi Mi 5S is powered by Snapdragon 821 quad core processor clocked at 2.1GHz with Adreno 530 GPU. This handset sports a 5.1 inch screen with 1080p resolution. MIUI 8 runs the show based on Marshmallow, with optional 3GB RAM/64GB ROM or 4GB RAM/128GB ROM.
This dual SIM handset also includes a 12MP camera on the back (SONY IMX378) and 4MP on the front. Handset can record 4K videos. Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, Dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, ultrasonic finger print sensor, NFC and USB Type C port. A 3100 mAh battery powers up this handset.
Xiaomi Mi 5S 3GB is priced at RMB 1999 and 4GB for RMB 2299.
Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus is also using same hardware but comes with 5.7 inch FHD (2.5D curved) screen, 13MP dual rear camera with 4K recording capabilities and front camera is 4MP. The Plus version houses a 3700 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus with 4GB RAM/64GB ROM is priced at RMB 2299 and the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variant is priced at RMB 2599.
