Xiaomi will be revealing a new device pretty soon (this month), Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed about launching a new device. It probably could be the Xiaomi Ferrari smartphone and they might also launch a Smartwatch or an upgraded Mi Band.
As per some unofficial reports the company is working on a Smartwatch with NFC support. As far as the smartphone is concerned it showed up on gfxbench Benchmark listing – it’s the Xiaomi Ferrari, the specifications also got listed.
On the hardware front the Xiaomi Ferrari is running Lollipop over a 5 inch screen with full HD i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The handset supports 4G, it is 64 bit powered using the qualcomm snapdragon 615 octa core processor @ 1.7GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The handset will come packed with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. Do note that most benchmarks show inaccurate specifications, better wait for official word.
Ferrari handset will also include a 12MP camera on the rear and 4.8MP camera on the front. The smartphone will be able to play and record full HD videos. Xiaomi will be launching a new handset most likely the Xiaomi Ferrari and probably an upgraded Mi-Band or a Smartwatch on 31st March 2015, stay tuned.
