Good news for Wammy tablet owners they are now entitled for a free Jelly Bean a.k.a. Android 4.1 upgraded which will happen by the end of September 2012, over the air. Wammy tabs can proudly claim to be among the few devices in India to be the first ones to get the Jelly Bean update.

According to Wickedleak spokesperson the update will happen over the air, meaning there is no need to download the ROM or connect to a PC, in fact all that the user needs to do is enable their internet connection on the tab and follow the procedure.

Wickedleak’s Wammy series tablet start from Rs. 5,249 onwards and they recently introduced the Wammy plus and the Wammy Ethos with built in 3G. All of these tablets are currently shipped with Android 4.0 OS. By end of September / early October all new tablets will be shipped with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Existing users will have an option to upgrade.

Wickedleak’s company spokesperson added that their tablet consumes less power (longer battery life) and delivers high performance all this at an affordable pricing. They are also pleased to be the first to provide an Android 4.1 update for their customers.
