Reliance launched the JioPhone a 4G feature phone and then Airtel launched their 4G VoLTE phone in partnership with Karbonn and now Vodafone in partnership with Micromax has launched Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra that is priced at Rs. 2,899 but with the scheme users will get Rs. 1900 cash back over a period of time.
This Vodafone Micromax Bharart 2 Ultra smartphone though carries a price tag of Rs. 2,899 for the handset but the effective price tag to the user will come to Rs. 999. The user will at first need to spend Rs. 2,899 and then for 36 months (3 years) keep recharging every month for at least Rs. 150.
The Vodafone user will then get Rs. 900 cash back after 18 months and then another Rs. 1000 cash back after the other 18 months, a total of Rs. 1,900 in 3 years. The cash back will be transferred to Vodafone M-Pesa Wallet. The offer looks great on the first look but it has a long term benefit, doubt if the handset will last for that long.
As far as the specifications are concerned the Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra is using Spreadtrum quad core processor and running marshmallow. It comes with dual SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support. Screen is 4 inches with 800 x 480 pixels resolution.
There is 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM, plus 32GB micro SD support. The primary camera can shoot in 2MP resolution, and comes with flash support. Front camera is a VGA shooter. Other features are VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.
Micromax Bharat 2 Ultra gets power from a 1300 mAh battery.
