TP-LINK had launched a new Wireless router called the TP-LINK AC750 Model No. Archer MR200. The key highlight about this router is that apart from the usual wired network option there is a SIM slot that can also be used to share 4G connections.

Inside the box you will find the router, 2x antenna, quick installation guide, technical support booklet, SIM adapters (nano to standard + micro to standard), adapter and RJ45 cable.

Design

TP-LINK Archer MR200 looks great, it’s plastic body with a glossy black finish. It is eye catchy and gets even better when the LED’s light up, when powered on. Build quality and finishing is very good.

On the rear side you will find the points to attach the antennas, power input point, power on/off button, LAN1, LAN2, LAN3,LAN4/WAN ports, WPS/Reset button, WiFi On/Off button and a regular SIM card slot with 4G LTE support.

Installation and Performance

Switch on the WiFi and use your laptop, desktop, mobile or tablet to connect to the new WiFi network. The first time password is mentioned on the router (bottom side). Once connected type tplinkmodem.net in the browser and you will get interface to setup the modem. Follow the steps and make sure to enable 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Well that’s it.

You can setup wired network (WPS supported) and share it with multiple users. For using 4G all you need to do is insert a 4G enabled SIM card, its plug and play, no setup required. But in case you are not able to access 4G, you can manually setup the APN as required. You can use either the 4G connection or the Wired network connection at any time.

This router performed well. It supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands that provides max speed of up to 300Mbps and 433Mbps respectively. On 4G LTE networks you get download speed of up to 150Mbps.

Verdict

It is a good dual band, premium looking router 4G LTE support that required no configurations. The antennas are powerful, provide better coverage and pretty stable. Archer MR200 supports DSL/cable/fiber modems. Do note there is no built in xDSL/Fiber/Cable modem.

TP-LINK Archer MR200 is pricey, at ₹8,999.
