Tenor D also called 10.or D is listed on Amazon and price starts from Rs. 4,999. This looks like a very good competitor to the Redmi 5A. Here is a comparison to give you an idea about the differences but makes sense to wait for the review to get a better idea.
Redmi 5A Vs 10.or D
Processor
Now both these handsets are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad core processor 64 bit SoC, coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. This hardware is powerful but not for gaming use, though it can play high end games in low quality mode.
RAM, ROM and OS
Redmi 5A is running MIUI 9 based on Nougat 7.1.2, comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. 10.or D is running Android 7.1.2 and is upgradable to Android 8.0, the D also comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
Now 10.or D is running stock android and Redmi 5A is MIUI 9 customized, all depends on your taste but Redmi 5A will offer better UI experience.
Display
The 10.or D features a 5.2 inch screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Redmi 5A comes with a slightly smaller screen of 5 inches with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution.
Sensors
Redmi 5A is packed with accelerometer, step, light, proximity and magnetic sensors. Tenor D comes with accelerometer, magnetic, light, proximity and gyro sensors. So gyro sensor is available on 10.or D if that is what you want.
Furthermore Redmi 5A does not come with finger print sensor whereas finger print sensor is available on 10.or D. So this is definitely good for 10.or D.
Camera
Redmi 5A is loaded with 13MP f/2.2 camera on the back and 5MP f/2.0 on the front. 10.or D comes with 13MP f/2.0 on the rear and 5MP f/2.2 on the front. I don’t think there will be much / any difference in camera quality among these two.
Common features
Both handsets support 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. And both handsets come with a dual SIM slot and a separate micro SD card slot.
Battery
Redmi 5A comes with 3000 mAh and 10.or D comes with 3550 mAh. Now 10.or D is using a slightly bigger screen so considering that I guess battery life will also be near about the same.
Conclusion which one is better? Redmi 5A or Tenor D (10.or D)
Now both handsets are decently power packed and comes with an attractive price tag. Tenor D or 10.or D has a slight advantage and that is finger print sensor and Gyro sensor, now this is if it matter to the user. Finger print definitely will. This makes 10.or D a better option.
