Swipe Telecom has launched the Swipe Ultimate Tablet that is powered by 1.8GHz quad core processor, sports a 10.1 inch screen and runs Windows 8.1 out of the box. It is a tablet that will convert into a laptop (sort of) when the (detachable) keyboard is attached. This tab is priced at Rs. 19,999.

It is powered by Intel ATOM 1.8GHz quad core processor and comes loaded with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. There is no external card support, OTG is supported – you get an OTG cable in the box pack.

The Swipe Ultimate does not come with a SIM slot. Weight with battery is 580 grams and the tab is 9.5mm thick. The touch screen is IPS HD of size 10.1 inches supporting 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. There is a 5MP primary camera placed on the rear and there is a 2MP secondary front facing camera too.

Key features are 1 year Microsoft office subscription, HDMI port, 1TB HDD supported via OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G/2G via external dongle. This tablet houses an 8000 mAh battery that should easily last for over 5 hours. It will be competing with the Notion Ink Cain ultra book.
