Swipe Telecom in collaboration with MTV has launched the Swipe MTV Volt an android powered Phablet with a 6 inch screen for Rs. 12,999. The handset will run on the Jelly Bean OS ver. 4.1

The features and specifications seem almost similar to the Karbonn A30 – another 6 inch Phablet. The Volt will come pre-loaded with a TV player built in with access to MTV. If you love watching MTV then this could turn out to be your portable TV entertainment on the move.

The Swipe Volt comes with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It will run the Android Jelly Bean OS and is powered by dual core processor. The capacitive touchscreen is 6 inches with 854×480 pixels resolution. There is 1.3MP front camera and a rear 8MP camera. The battery looks really good with 3,200 mAh capacity, as per Swipe this Phablet can easily give over 8 hours of talktime on a full charge.

Other features included are Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB port and 3.5mm jack. Just like the Karbonn A30 the Swipe MTV Volt will also comes with a free flip cover.

The MTV Volt does look like a good competitor to the Karbonn A30. Quite a few differences between the two for example the battery, OS and weight. The Volt (239 grams) is lighter than A30. The Swipe Fablet F1 a single core powered handset is also available for under Rs. 9,000.
