Sony silently launched the Xperia Z4 in Japan. This handset sports a 5.2 inch FHD screen and it’s running Lollipop out of the box. The Z4 is powered by 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Sony Xperia Z4 price remains undisclosed.

The Xperia Z4 is IP6X, IPX5 and IPX8 certified that makes is dust and water proof. The handset can be completely submerged in water for a much longer time. The company has made some design changes – they made the USB port waterproof, this means there is no need to seal the port as done on its predecessors

The Z4 sports a 5.2 inch LCD IPS shatter proof Triluminos screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The handset sails on Android Lollipop and houses the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa core processor (cortex A57 quad core + cortex A53 quad core) coupled with Adreno 430 GPU.

SONY Xperia Z4 launched

There is 3GB onboard RAM, optional 32 GB / 64 GB storage and micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards. On the camera front the Xperia Z4 features a 20.7MP AF camera with LED flash on the rear and 5.1MP camera on the front. Rear camera can shoot 4K videos and front camera can shoot full HD videos.

Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS (GLONASS / Beidou/ A-GPS), NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This handset comes with a 2930 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery with quick charger 2.0 support that can charge the battery to 60% in just about 30 minutes.
