The Sony Xperia Z1 using the snapdragon 800 quad core processor running KitKat (upgradable to Lollipop) with 20.7MP primary camera is now available on Amazon.in for ₹15,999 (limited stock). This is a IP58 certified smartphone – dust proof and water resistant.

Sony Xperia Z1 a waterproof smartphone was initially launched in India in 2013 with a price tag of ₹43,499. As for now it is listed on Amazon.in for ₹16K. The hardware is outdated, it is single SIM with 3G support but for this price it does look good.

The Xperia Z1 is still pricey on other sites like Flipkart where it is still selling for ₹23,000. Z1 is powered by 2.2GHz snapdragon 800 quad core processor loaded with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and micro SD card support.

It is using a 5 inch TFT Triluminous screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. There a 20.7MP primary camera with LED flash support that can shoot FHD videos and a 2MP camera on the front. Additional features are 3G, 2G, WiFi, NFC, GPS and Bluetooth. The 3000 mAh battery gives up to 15 hours of talk time on a single charge.
