Sony Xperia Z1 with 2.2GHz quad core and 20.7 megapixel camera has been launched in India for Rs. 43,499. The handset runs on Jelly Bean 4.2 and like the other ‘Z’ series this one too is durable (water and dust proof).

The Xperia Z1 sports a 5 inch screen with full HD resolution along with FHD Triluminos display tech for Mobile. The TFT display supports 10 point multi touch. Handset runs on 4.2 Jelly Bean with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is micro SD card slot too for adding external cards of up to 64GB.

The Z1 is a single SIM handset (Micro SIM) with 3G (42Mbps), 2G, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4, DLNA and GPS with GLONASS / A-GPS. The Sony Xperia handset is powered by 2.2 GHz MSM8974 quad core (qualcomm Snapdragon 800) processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU.

Another exciting feature is the 20.7 Megapixel primary camera with (Pulsed) LED support and 8x digital zoom. Full HD videos can be recorded. The front camera is of 2MP resolution. Camera is with Exmor RS image sensor, Sony G Lens and BIONZ image processor engine.

A 3000 mAh battery gives  a decent talk time of up to 15 hours on 3G and 14 hours on 2G networks. Stand by time is about 880 hours depending on the networks. The Sony Xperia Z1 can be pre-ordered for Rs. 43,499.
