The Xperia NX is a new member in the Sony Ericsson Xperia family powered by 1.5 GHz processor and sporting a 12.1 MP camera. Mobile phone camera technology is getting better day by day and now there are few handsets with high camera resolution that could make compact digital camera obsolete.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia NX weighs 144.01 gram and is 10.66 mm thin – not the thinnest phone though but features are quite impressive. This handset runs on android 2.3 OS and the 4.5 inch HD touchscreen is smooth and responsive. The 1.5 GHz processor speed is perfect for multitasking, watching videos and playing games.
Sony Ericsson probably will support upgrade of android 2.3 OS to android 4.0 in the future. The touchscreen display features Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology with resolution screen of 1280 x 720.
The main attraction however is the 12.1 megapixel primary camera and the 1.3 MP front camera. Full HD video recording is supported. Other features are internal storage of 32 GB, 1 GB RAM, microSD support, Facebook / Twitter apps pre-loaded, 3G, Wi-Fi, micro HDMI, GPS, micro USB, Bluetooth and 3.5 mm audio jack.
The 1700 mAh Li-ion battery gives standby of 400 hours and talktime of up to 6 hours on 3G network. The Xperia XN is a Japanese version of Xperia S.
