Qualcomm Snapdragon has officially announced their next flagship chipset the Snapdragon 820 that will be using the Adreno 530 GPU. This chipset will bring significant improvement in performance, user experience and will be power efficient.
With the Adreno 530 GPU coupled with the Snapdragon 820 chipset, users will experience up to 40% improvement (when compared with Adreno 430) in terms of graphics performance, with increased computing capabilities. This 530 GPU is also engineered to be power efficient – saves up to 40% when compared with its predecessors.
The 820 support 4K formats and HDMI 2.0. This chipset also comes with improved imaging capabilities thanks to the new Qualcomm Spectra camera ISP. It supports 14 bit sensors for more natural skin tones and supports wider range of colors. It can easily capture / process 25MP photos at 30 frames per second.
There is still time for this chipset, we might find the first device powered by snapdragon 820 sometime in mid 2016.
