Samsung has launched new entry level smartphone called the Samsung Z1 that is also it’s first Tizen based smartphone in India. The Z1 is a dual core powered handset and first of its kind running on the Tizen 2.3 OS.

The Z1 sports a 4 inch screen with WVGA resolution (800 x 480 pixels). As mentioned it is running Samsung’s own in house Tizen operation system version 2.3 with 768 MB of RAM and 4Gigs of internal storage. There is external card support of up to 64GB.

This handset is powered by an unknown 1.2GHz dual core processor. Since it is running a different OS, i.e. the Tizen it does not officially support android app, but users can download and install the OpenMobile application or ACL and after that they will be able to use Android application on Tizen.

Samsung Z1 Tizen

It is a dual SIM handset that supports 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, ultra power saving mode and Bluetooth. There is 3MP primary camera on the rear and a VGA camera on the front. A 1500 mAh battery powers up the Z1. Weight with battery is 112 grams and it is 9.7mm thick.

Samsung Z1 Tizen is now available in Red, White and Black colour options for Rs. 5,700.
