After announcing the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge at MWC 2016, Samsung Mobiles will be launching the same in the Indian markets on 8th of March 2016. There are two variants of S7 and S7 edge – Snapdragon 820 quad core powered or Exynos 8 octa core powered, probably the Indian markets will get the Exynos version.

The Galaxy S7 is dual SIM (hybrid slot) handset sporting a 5.1 inch Quad HD screen (1440 pixels) – it’s using a pressure sensitive, always on, super AMOLED display. Marshmallow runs out of the box with 4GB RAM and optional 32/64 GB of ROM. Micro SD card of up to 200 GB is supported.

S7 is packed with a f/1.7 aperture dual pixel 12MP primary camera and 5MP camera on the front with the same f/1.7 aperture. Other features are heart rate sensor, IP68 certified (dust and water resistant), finger print sensor, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 4G, 3G,2G and WiFi. S7 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery with fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also comes with the same specifications the only difference is that it sports a 5.5 inch always on curved edge super AMOLED screen, different weight plus dimensions and battery of 3600 mAh capacity with fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge official price in India will be announced on 8th of March.
