Samsung Gear Live wearable device powered by Android Wear

Samsung’s next wearable device is the Gear Live that runs on the recently announced Google Android Wear operating system. The Samsung Gear Live sports a 1.63 inch Super AMOLED screen and probably could be priced at around $199.

On the hardware front the Gear Live houses a 1.2GHz processor and as already mentioned runs on Android Wear OS with 512Mb RAM and with 4Gigs of internal storage. The Android Wear a new OS provides real time targeted information like social app updates, messages, latest posts etc. The Live smartwatch weight is about 59 grams and will be available in Wine Red and Black colour options.

This Smartwatch will work with devices running Android 4.3 and higher. It will also come loaded with sensors that will work with Google Fit (including heart rate monitor). The 1.63 inch S-AMOLED touch screen supports 320 x 320 pixels resolution. Samsung had started its Smartwatch journey with Gear and then launched the Gear 2 and recently the Gear Neo.

The Samsung Gear Live is dust and water resistant IP67 certified and comes with changeable strap. Other features included are Bluetooth 4.0 LE, accelerometer, heart rate sensor, magnetic sensor and gyroscope. A 300 mAh Li-ion standard battery powers up this device.
