Last year in September, Samsung revealed their plan about the Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus running on honeycomb OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus is now available in India for Rs. 26,500. The 7.0 plus is also known as 620, is powered by 1.2 GHz processor (dual core) with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options.
Samsung has stopped manufacturing Galaxy Tab p1000 so avoid buying that tablet, it is already outdated. On the other hand the Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus comes with android 3.2 and probably could be updated to android 4.0.
The galaxy tab 620 or 7.0 plus comes with a powerful processor as compared with the Galaxy tab 750 and 730. The tab 620 weighs 345 grams and is 9.9mm thin. The tablet is available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 8 GB versions. Currently the 16 GB version is available in India and you can buy it online from flipkart. There is no word about the 8 and the 32 GB version yet.
The Galaxy tab 620 houses 3 MP primary camera (with LED flash) and a 2 MP secondary camera. Video recording at 30 fps in HD mode is supported. Video calling is possible over 3G or Wi-Fi. For extra storage use external storage card (microSD) up to 64 GB. The TouchWiz UX UI pops up once the OS is loaded. 7 inch screen capacitive touchscreen is smooth and max resolution supported is 1024 by 600 pixels.
Other features are GPRS, EDGE network when 3G not available, built in GPS for navigation using default Google maps, 3.5 mm jack and Bluetooth 3.0.
Box pack contains: 620 tablet (Tab 7 plus), data cable, conversion plug, headset (stereo), travel adaptor and user manual with warranty card. This tablet comes with 1 GB RAM.
