Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 the successor to the Galaxy Tab series. This tablet will be made available soon and will be listed on the Samsung India eStore – the price details are not yet known.

The Galaxy Tab 3 will sport a 7 inch display with 1024×600 pixels resolution. The tab will be powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It will run on the Jelly bean Android 4.1 OS (with touch Whiz UI) with 1GB RAM and optional 8GB/16GB storage. Plus the micro SD support of up to 64GB.

A 3MP camera is placed on the rear and a front facing camera is of 1.3MP resolution. There will be two versions Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G. The Wi-Fi only version will be released first. The Tab 3 comes with a 4000 mAh built in battery.

The Galaxy Tab 2 is currently priced at Rs. 12,899 and Samsung also launched the Galaxy Note 510 for Rs. 30,900. The Tab 3 with 8GB internal storage space will be cheaper. If rumors are to be believed Samsung is planning to launch Galaxy Tab 7.0, Galaxy Tab 8.0, Galaxy Tab 11 tablets. Stay tuned for more.
