Samsung has launched a low budget triple SIM handset – the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios that can handle 3 lines (Triple SIM) at a time. The handset comes with 1GHz processing power and runs on Android 4.1 OS.
The Samsung Galaxy Star Trios is now listed on the official Samsung Brazilian website. This handset belongs to the Galaxy Star family. The TFT screen is 3.14 inches supporting resolution of 320×240 pixels.
The handset weight is 105 grams and thickness is 11mm. It runs on outdated Android 4.1 with 4GB internal storage. The on-board RAM is 512MB. The Galaxy Star Trios is powered by Snapdragon MSM7225A (45nm) ARMv7 cortex A5 chipset clocked at 800 MHz (Samsung site says 1GHz probably over clocked) with Adreno 200 GPU.
There is 2MP camera on the rear without LED flash support. Key feature is the 3 SIM slots with 3G support. At this point we are not sure if one can receive call from the second / third SIM when the first SIM is in use / active.
Other features are 3G (HSDPA), 2G (EDGE/GPRS), Wi-Fi (b/g/n) with Wi-Fi direct and GPS with A-GPS support. There are accelerometer and geo magnetic sensors. The battery is 1300 mAh capacity. There is no confirmation as to when and if the Samsung Galaxy Star Trios will hit the Indian stores or its price tag.
