Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ got a new update that enabled dual VoLTE support. In this video I have explained what Dual VoLTE is and what happens when dual VoLTE is not enabled.

I also updated the handset my Samsung Galaxy S9+, the latest software update now enabled Dual VoLTE and VoWiFi (Voice over Wi-Fi). If you haven’t checked the Galaxy S9+ review check here.

The update size if 426MB. If you are using the Samsung Galaxy S9 or the S9+ you might have got the update notification. Update the handset and after that dual VoLTE will be enabled.

Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9+ in India is using Exynos octa core processor and it did not have dual VoLTE support until now, latest update adds the support.

Without Dual VoLTE support on Samsung Galaxy S9+ I was not able to use JIO SIM when I enabled data on my airtel SIM, since after enabling data on airtel SIM slot the JIO SIM slot will become 3G/2G and since JIO needs 4G the SIM will not work.

But with this Samsung Galaxy S9+ dual VoLTE support I am now able to use both SIM together, in fact you can use 2 JIO SIMs together. Now both SIM 1 and SIM 2 slot support 4G together.
