The much awaited next Galaxy handset from Samsung has been launched, it is the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the S8+. Both S8 / S8+ come with infinity bezel less display. Both handsets are powered by qualcomm snapdragon 835 / Exynos 9 octa core processors.
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ features and specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S8 as well as the Galaxy S8+ houses the qualcomm snapdragon 835 64 bit octa core processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU / Samsung Exynos 9 8895 with Mali G71 GPU. The S8 sports a 5.8 inch screen with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution and the S8+ sports a 6.2 inch screen with 2960 x 1440 pixels resolution. The screen is corning gorilla glass 5 protected.
Android Nougat runs the show with 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and external micro SD card support. These are dual SIM handsets packed with 12MP dual pixel primary camera with f/1.7 aperture and 8MP front auto focus camera with f/1.7 aperture.
Other features are 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 5, NFC, MST, finger print sensor, heart rate sensor and Iris sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ is IP68 certified that makes it dust and water resistant.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 houses a 3000 mAh non-removable battery whereas the Samsung Galaxy S8+ houses a 3500 mAh non-removable battery. Fast charging (wired / wireless) are supported.
Samsung Galaxy S8 price starts from $750 (approx Rs. 48,600) and Galaxy S8+ price starts from $850 (approx Rs. 55K). These handset will go on sale from April 21, but can be pre-ordered tomorrow onwards.
No word about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ launch in India.
