Samsung’s Next big thing is the Samsung Galaxy S4. Even before the launch the specs were already leaked but there were still confusions regarding the processor. The handset will directly compete with the Apple iPhone 5.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is powered by 2x quad core processors. Some call it Octa core while some simply refer to as two quad cores. There were rumors about the core, will it be the quad core or the Octa core (8 core), well both the rumors are true. There are two versions the quad core version @ 1.9GHz and the eight core (Octa core) at 1.6GHz.

The handset runs on the Jelly Bean 4.2 OS with TouchWiz user interface as on the Galaxy S4. The PenTile Super AMOLED HD screen is 5 inches with 1080p resolution (441 ppi). Now what is this PenTile? It’s a Samsung patented screen technology that brings out the best HD resolution / clarity / colors on AMOLED screen. The Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with 2GB RAM and 16/32/64 GB internal storage options. The handset is 7.9 mm thick. Other features are 4G (in select countries), 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, wireless charging, IR blaster, 13MP auto focus camera with full HD recording, front 2MP camera, Micro SD support, GPS and NFC. The battery is a good 2600 mAh capacity.

The handset will flood the Indian markets in April and as for the price – it’s not disclosed yet.
