Samsung has announced two new tablets in the S2 series the Samsung Galaxy S2 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S2 9.7. The prices of these tablets have not yet been unveiled. As per the company these tablets are lightest and thinnest.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8 is as the same suggests comes with an 8 inch super AMOLED screen supporting 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution. This tablet weighs about 265 grams and it is 5.6mm thick. It houses the Exynos octa core processor clocked at 1.9GHz with Mali T760 GPU.

Tab S2 8 is running Android 5.0 with 3GB RAM, 32GB / 64GB optional ROM and there is micro SD card slot that supports up to 128GB storage cards. The S2 8 is also packed with an 8MP camera on the rear and a 2.1MP camera on the front. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, finger print scanner, GPS and Wi-Fi. This tab gets power from a 4000 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 9.7 on the other hand is also powered by 1.9GHz Exynos octa core processor with Mali T760 GPU. It is running Lollipop with 3GB RAM, 32/64GB storage and 128GB external card support. This tab however sports a 9.7 inch super AMOLED screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution.

The tab weight is about 389 grams and thickness is 5.6mm. Also included is a 2.1MP front camera and 8MP rear camera. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, GPS, Wi-Fi, finger print scanner and Wi-Fi. The Galaxy S2 9.7 gets power from a 5870 mAh battery.

No word about when these tabs will be available in India or its price tag.
