The single Nano SIM 4G LTE supported Samsung Galaxy Alpha has been launched in India. Alpha runs KitKat out of the box over a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is priced at Rs. 39,990 and will be available from next month.

The Galaxy Alpha with a metal frame body houses the Exynos octa core processor (1.8GHz quad + 1.3GHz quad). It will be available in dazzling white, charcoal black and frosted gold colour options. The Alpha comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The Alpha houses a 12MP rear AF CMOS camera with flash. The rear camera is capable of shooting UHD 4K video at 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution (30fps). It also comes with a front camera of 2.1MP resolution. Camera features Shadow free HDR.

There are good number of sensors – accelerometer, magnetic, hall, light, gesture, proximity, HR, gyro and the fingerprint sensor. Handset weight is just 115 grams and thickness is 6.7mm. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.

The Alpha comes with an 1860 mAh standard battery that gives talk time of up to 9 hours on 3G networks.
