Samsung may soon launch a mini version of the Galaxy S5 most likely with a 4.47 inch screen and powered by quad core processor. As per Zauba website SM-G800F Samsung model with a 4.47 inch screen was imported into India.
The SM-G800F most likely could be the Galaxy S5 Mini. As per the import data very few handsets have been imported basically for research and development. The S5 Mini will be a trimmed version and would definitely be cheaper than the S5.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini specifications are out but not officially confirmed – still a rumor. The Mini will runs on KitKat over a 4.47 inch screen with HD (1280 x 720p) resolution. It will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core processor with 1.5GB RAM and on-board 16GB storage.
The handset will also include a 2MP camera on the front and 8MP on the rear with LED flash support. To keep the price down to a good low some or all of the new features found on the Galaxy S5 like the heart rate sensors, Infrared and fingerprint scanner might be removed.
It could come with a 2100 mAh battery with a decent backup time. S5 Mini is still a rumor, waiting for the official word.
