All these 3 handsets are powered by different hardware but performance is near about the same so makes no difference when it comes to day to day usage. The specifications are adjusted as per the hardware needs.

Display

Redmi 4A – 5 inch 1280 x 720 pixels
Redmi 4 – 5 inch 2.5D curved glass, 1280 x 720 pixels
Redmi Note 4 – 5.5 inch 2.5D curved glass, 1920 x 1080 pixels

As you can see Redmi 4A and 4 is same size with same resolution but Redmi 4 comes with 2.5D curved glass. Whereas Redmi Note 4 is bigger screen of 5.5 inches with 2.5D glass and with full HD resolution.

There is no difference in the screen quality, though the 2.5D curved screen looks much better and give a more premium feel.

Redmi 4 – 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB

As far as the camera quality is concerned the 4A quality was average, Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 quality is above average.

There is hardly any huge difference when it comes to battery life, as I mentioned the specs are as per the hardware and overall all these 3 handsets will give you an excellent battery life.

Missing Features

The Redmi 4A does not come with finger print sensor.

So you see there are quite a few specification changes. The least powerful is Redmi 4A and the most powerful is the Redmi note 4. The Redmi 4 is well balanced between the two. All these handsets carry a different price the cheapest is the Redmi 4A.

If you are a heavy gaming user then the Redmi Note 4 is the best option. If you have budget issues go with Redmi 4A otherwise for general users not much into gaming can go with the Redmi 4.

For normal user i.e. those using Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter etc. kind of apps and hardly into high end gaming, for them the performance experience on any of these handsets will be the same.

Some prefer 5 inch screen and some 5.5, you can consider as per your need. Look wise the Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 looks more premium than the Redmi 4A.
