Redmi 2 was listed for ₹5,499 and the Redmi 2 Prime handset for ₹6,666 on Snapdeal.com, however there was some glitch on their end the prices are back to ₹5,999 and ₹6,999. Both these Xiaomi handsets (the 2 and 2 Prime) are powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core processor running MIUI out of the box.

This dual SIM handset comes loaded with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and micro SD card support. It is running MIUI based on Android 4.4.4. Screen is 4.7 inches supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. On the camera part this smartphone is packed with an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 2MP camera on the front.

Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 gets power from a 2200 mAh battery and as of now can be purchased for ₹5,999.

Redmi 2 Prime also a dual SIM handset that sports a 4.7 inch HD screen and also running MIUI based on Android KitKat. This handset comes with 8MP primary camera with LED flash support and a 2MP secondary camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime however is loaded with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage along with external micro SD card support. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi. This handset gets power from a 2200 mAh battery. It is now available for ₹6,999.
