Realme launched the 5i another handset in the Realme 5 series, presenting the Realme 5i that is packed with most of the features as seen on the Realme 5 and the Realme 5s. The 5i you can say is a replacement of the Realme 5.

Realme 5i design

Handset is available in Aqua Blue, Forest Green colour options. There is no silicon case included in box cause the back is unique, back is plastic but got unique texture and look – that was achieved via Molding, Spraying, Assembly techniques.

Handset feels great to hold and you probably would not want to use a protective case for this one. Also the grip is too good. Handset weight is 195 grams.

Realme 5i performance and specifications

This handset is also powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa core processor and it is quite powerful, can play PUBG Mobile and does not heat up much. 5i is running ColorOS 6.0.1 over Android 9.

There is 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, plus triple slots which means you can use 2 SIM + Micro SD card all together. For security – finger print sensor on back and face unlock.

I played PUBG on this handset and it did well.

Realme 5i comes with a 6.52 inch screen with 2.5D curved Glass, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supporting HD+ resolution.

On Rear There is 12 MP Primary, 8MP Wide, 2MP Macro and 2MP Depth cameras and on front there is 8MP camera. Do check the sample images. This handset can shoot 4K videos and slow mo.

Camera quality is above average if you use the auto mode and if you go manual the camera quality is excellent. This means there is scope of improvement (Auto).

This handset comes packed with a massive 5000 mAh battery that will easily last for 2.5 to 3 days depending on your usage. Inside the box however, there is a 10W charger and it will take time charging the 5000 mAh battery, estimated about 3 hours or so.

Verdict

Since 5i is a Realme 5 replacement, makes sense to go either with the Realme 5s or the Realme 5i. A good handset for the price.
