At MWC Shanghai 2017, Qualcomm unveiled the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SOC that makes use of 14nm FinFET process. The SD 450 Mobile Platform will be more powerful, will offer better battery life and more compared with its predecessor the Snapdragon 435.

Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform features

This is octa core powered (64 Bit) coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. This is also the first mobile platform in 400 tier to feature a 14nm FinFET process.  Key highlight of Snapdragon 450 is it delivers 4 hours extra battery life, is 25% more powerful and the 506 GPU also enhances the performance up to 25% – when compared with SD 435.

Another unique thing about Snapdragon 450 is dual camera support with real time Bokeh effects. Mobile Manufacturers can easily implement the SD 450 because of software compatibility with multiple SD mobile platforms – SD 425, SD 427, SD 430, SD 435, SD 625, SD 626.
