Qualcomm has unveiled 3 new Snapdragon chipsets the Snapdragon 427, Snapdragon 626 and the Snapdragon 653. The 427 is upgraded version of SD 425, SD 626 is upgraded version of SD 625 and SD 653 is upgraded SD 652.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 8920 features
This is 64 bit Cortex A53 28nm chipset that can be clocked up to 1.4GHz. It supports 4G LTE X9, Global mode – Cat 7, VoLTE. This Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 chipset is coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It can shoot videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps. Other features are TruSignal Antenna boost, supports 1280 x 800 pixel display, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and supports quick charge 3.0.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 8953Pro features
This is octa core chipset 14nm can be clocked up to 2.2GHz (cortex A53). This one also supports 4G LTE, Global, VoLTE, Cat 7. Snapdragon 626 is coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. Other features are TruSignal Antenna Boost, 1920 x 1200 display support, 4K video recording supported at 30fps, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and supports quick charge 3.0.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 8976Pro features
This is 28nm octa core – 64 bit that can be clocked up to 1.95GHz it is using 4xCortex A71 and 4xcortex A53 cpu’s. This SoC supports X9 LTE, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Cat 7. It is coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. Snapdragon 653 supports 2560 x 1600 display and can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 120fps. Other features are WiFi dual band, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and QC 3.0 supports (quick charge).
Handset with Snapdragon 427 will hit the store in 2017, and handsets with Snapdragon 626 and 653 will be made available by end of 2016.
