The Gionee GPad G2 that made headlines a few weeks back has now been launched for a price tag of Rs. 13,990. This is a quad core handset with 1GB RAM and sports a 5.3 inch screen.
The dual SIM Gionee Gpad G2 price and the specifications seem okay but the resolution is quite disappointing. The 5.3 inch screen supports 960×540 pixels. The handset is powered by quad core cortex A7 clocked at 1.2GHz. Its MediaTek (MT6589) powered with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU.
The features are the same that we have seen on many other MediaTek handsets but to compensate the low resolution Ginoee has added some extra features. There is built in DTS audio for enhanced sound output and the battery also is of a very good 3000 mAh capacity that definitely will last for an extra day or two.
Other features are the same i.e. 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5mm audio jack. The handset sails on the Android 4.1 OS with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There is a 2MP front camera and an 8MP AF camera with LED flash on the back side.
The handset is a better option than the Micromax A116 but it is a little costlier than the Celkon A119Q and the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD.
