Users might have already forgotten about the Samsung Galaxy beam which was supposed to launch in India in the month of April, it never happened. But now the Beam a Projector Phone can now be pre-ordered from Samsung India store for Rs. 29,900.

Even though Samsung has put up the phone on pre-orders I doubt if anyone would really be interested in it. And there are many reasons for it. The most important thing is that Samsung has not mentioned the release date, moreover you need to make the full payments in advance.

The Galaxy Beam (GT-I8530) is an android phone (ver 2.3) with built in Projector. It sails on a 1 GHz dual core processor with 4 inch capacitive touch screen with resolution 480×800 pixels.  This handset comes loaded with 758MB RAM, microSD support and internal memory of 8GB.

Other features are a 5MP AF camera with HD recording, 3G with HSPA support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB. There is also a front camera of 1.3 MP resolution.  The main feature is the 15 lumens nHD projector that works for almost 3 hours on a single charge. A 2000 mAh battery gives a standby time of about 31 days and talktime for about 20 hours on 2G and 8 hours on 3G.

Samsung Galaxy Beam (GT-I8530)

The Samsung Beam GT-I8530 runs on Android 2.3 and the price seems a bit high. This smartphone is best for business users, its light weight, powerful, sleek and an effective presentation tool.
