Poco X2 design and specs

The build and finishing is premium, plus on the back and front it comes with corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, handset is comfortable to hold, however a bit heavy at 208 grams.

Here are the specs

16.5cm (6.53) Full HD+ (2400 × 1080) 120Hz display
COF (Chip on Film) technology
Quad camera setup with PDAF and EIS
64MP IMX686 primary sensor
8MP wide-angle sensor
2MP depth sensor
2MP macro sensor
20MP + 2MP dual front in-screen cameras
Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G with LiquidCool Technology
MIUI for POCO based on Android 10
6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants
4500mAh battery
27W fast charging (adapter included in the box)
Side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI Face unlock
Dual Gorilla Glass 5 – front and back
P2i Splash Proof
Matrix Purple, Phoenix Red and Atlantis Blue colour variants

The screen quality is really good considering the price, plus the 120 Hz display does help when playing games and for general usage, eventually high frame rate will become a standard.

RAM / ROM standards have increased these days so many can just ignore that part. Also when it comes to fast charging most brands are providing charging solution in the box, here in this case the Poco X2 comes with 27W fast charging.

X2 runs MIUI based on Android 10 and it also comes with IR blaster that was missing on the Poco F1, and since Fan’s wanted it Poco added it.

Poco X2 performance

Inside the hood the X2 houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa core processor, though this is good enough but it is kind of downgrade when compared to the Poco F1 that camera with Snapdragon 800 series. Poco F1 is outdated but still relevant today.

I played PUBG on the X2, it was smooth, good thing is that this handset also comes with liquid cooling which is good news for gaming users.

Considering the price the Poco X2 does offer impressive performance.

The finger print sensor is shifted on the right which doubles as the power button too. Some might find this weird but once they use the handset they will get used to it. The side finger print sensor comes handy when you want to view content and the handset is placed on the table.

POCO X2 camera review

There are quad cameras on the rear and dual cameras on the front. The front cameras are in-screen meaning inside the screen you will not feel it when you move your fingers over the camera.

Camera quality considering the price is excellent. In fact the movie mode is awesome do check the samples below and do watch the video for explanation.

Poco X2 Battery performance

The 4500 mAh battery will give you one and a half to two days of battery life even with 120Hz display mode and the 27W fast charger in the box will charge the handset to up to 100% in about 70 minutes.

Verdict

No doubt the best smartphone that you can buy for under Rs. 20,000 in India, with offers you can get it for around Rs. 14,999.

The hard choice would be deciding to buy the Poco F1 or this Poco X2. Well always buy the latest tech, i.e. X2 or better wait for the F2.
