Pantel Technologies have launched a dual SIM tablet the Penta T-Pad WS708C for Rs. 6,999. This tablet comes powered by a single core processor running on Jelly Bean OS and has built in (Dual) SIM slot.
The SIM slot supports only the 2G network and you can use the tablet as a phone. This is not a tablet with built in 3G, however you can connect an external dongle and surf using the 3G network. The capacitive screen is 7 inches with a mere 800×480 pixels resolution with 16M colors.
The Penta T-Pad WS708C is powered by a single core 1GHz cortex A9 processor with Mali 400 GPU. There is 512MB RAM (DDR3) and 4GB internal storage. A camera of VGA resolution is placed on the front side and a 2MP fixed focus on the rear side.
For connectivity there is built in SIM slot with 2G support, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, Bluetooth, micro USB and 3.5mm jack. There is also a G-Sensor. A 3000 mAh battery (Li-Po) should easily give a usage time of over 3 hours.
There are other cheaper tables with dual core processor and with higher resolution screen available, like the Lava Xtron, Wammy Desire and for a little more you can get the Karbonn ST8. But if you are specially looking for phone functionality then, this is a good option. The tablet not only provides dual SIM functionality but also is 3D enabled.
