At the MWC 2016 event, Panasonic unveiled two rugged smartphones called the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-F1 and the Toughpad FZ-N1. The FZ-F1 is running Windows 10 and the FZ-N1 is running Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box. These handsets carry a price tag of $1499 (FZ-N1) and $1599 (FZ-F1).

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1/FZ-F1 is powered by 2.3GHz qualcomm snapdragon 801 quad core processor with Adreno 330 GPU. This is a dual SIM handset that sports a 4.7 inch 10 point multi touch sunlight viewable screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Screen comes with rain sensing and glove mode support.

As mentioned FZ-F1 will be running Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise version and FZ-N1 will be running Android 5.1.1. There is 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and 64GB external micro SD card support. The handset is IP67 certified i.e. it can survive being submerged in water up to 3.3 feet for 30 minutes and IP65 certified i.e. can survive high pressure jet spray. This Toughpad is also vibration, dust, shock, sand, freeze, shock, rain and humidity proof.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 and FZ-F1

There is an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash support and 5MP camera on the front. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and angled 2D/1D bar-code reader. A 3200 mAh battery powers up this handset. Users can also buy swap-able battery pack of 6200 mAh capacity.

Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 is priced at $1,499 (approx ₹1,02,000) and Toughpad FZ-F1 for $1,599 (approx ₹1,09,000).
