The Oukitel K10000 for now is the only handset that comes with a big 10000 mAh battery. This dual SIM handset with 4G support is powered by MediaTek quad core processor. It is running Lollipop with 2GB RAM. K10000 is priced at $184.31.

Inside the box you will find the handset, screen guard, OTG cable, data cable, plastic case for added protection, user guide, warranty certificate, SIM tray ejector pin and fast charger (5V/7V/9V ~ 2.0A – max output).

Design

The handset design is impressive, unique and using hexa faceted edges. It’s using an aluminum alloy frame, overall build quality and finishing is very good. The rear side is made of plastic and does come with a nice logo (check video review / images). The handset feels comfortable to hold, however it is pretty heavy and bulky. Weight with battery is 316 grams and dimensions are 76.65 x just over 154.00 x 14.07mm.

But since the handset comes with 10000 mAh built in battery with fast charging capabilities most of you probably might want to ignore the weight and dimensions.

Power button and volume rocker is on the right side, audio jack is on the top and micro USB, speaker vents are at the bottom. There is a single speaker. SIM tray is on the left side.

Oukitel K10000 dual SIM slot (SIM + Hybrid)

This is a dual SIM handset with a hybrid slot – you can either user 2x micro SIM’s or 1x micro SD card and 1x micro SIM. 4G works on both the SIM, however the 2300 band that works in India is not supported.

No LED notification on K10000 and there are 3 sensors – light accelerometer and proximity.

Display

This smartphone sports a 5.5 inch IPS screen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The screen is slightly curved around the edges. Viewing angles, colour reproduction and touch response is good.

Memory, Storage and OS

There is 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. On the first boot you will get around 12GB free internal storage space and 1.2GB RAM. Apps are getting installed on external storage and OTG is supported.

K10000 is running Android 5.1 out of the box.

Performance

The Oukitel K10000 is using Mediatek MT6735 1GHz quad core processor (64 bit) coupled with Mali T720 GPU. Had no issues with performance, gaming experience is better in low quality mode.

Benchmark

  • Quadrant – 9009
  • Antutu (32 bit) – 1st time 23606, 2nd time 23669
  • Nenamark 2 – 50.3fps

  • Multi Touch – 5 Point.

Gaming

I tested the Asphalt 8, that by default got installed on the external storage. I tried playing in high visual quality mode, but the game clearly lagged, it played well in Medium visual quality mode.

Camera

There is a 13MP primary camera with dual LED flash on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Rear camera can shoot HD videos and camera quality is average.

Others

Loudspeaker sound is loud and clear. No issues with in-call sound. I did not face any problem with network signal. 3G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth worked well.

Battery

This is the key attraction. Oukitel K10000 comes with 10000 mAh non-removable battery. It supports fast charging that is pretty impressive. Battery backup is also amazing. Check the Battery performance section below.

You can expect 18 to 31 hours of continuous moderate to heavy usage on a full charge. With mixed usage (depending on your use) the handset will last for up to 7 days. Whats more you can even use this handset to charge other devices.

Verdict

Oukitel K10000 is an amazing handset if you are looking for in-terms of battery backup. However the negative side is that handset is big and bulky. It is using quad core processor that is not the powerful out there but does a decent job and helps get more juice out of the battery.

A very good buy for those looking for a near about feature phone type of battery backup from a smartphone.
