Micromax – Cyanogen partnered YU Yureka handset got an update. The OTA update was rolled out few days back. It will be available in phased manner. I still have the review unit and I got the update notification.
This is a HNPHO5Q incremental update it is for bug fixes and other common issues faced by the user. Yureka also tweeted about the OTA update. The update size is 73 MB. This could probably fix the proximity sensor issues that some users were facing.
About 15,000 Yureka units were sold today, the next sale will be on 12th February at 2PM, if you are interested you will need to register (even if you had registered before). Yureka is another VFM handset, but not that easy to get.
If you have the Yureka and got the notification (you can also check it manually by checking software update in settings – about) go ahead and update it. I have updated and have not found any issues as such so far.
There is no need for a backup, but you can take the backup, just in case.
