OPPO launched the A83 handset in the OPPO A series. The unique thing about this handset is that it does not come with finger print sensor, instead there is face unlock feature that will make it easier to unlock the phone.

OPPO A83 is using MediaTek Helio P23 octa core processor with Mali G71 GPU. This dual SIM handset like the other OPPO smartphones is running ColorOS version 3.2 based on Android 7.1. There is 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space, plus 128GB micro SD card support.

Handset weight is 143 grams with 3180 mAh non-removable battery, and A83 is about 7.7mm thick. Screen is 5.7 inches with 2.5D curved glass and with HD+ resolution that is 1440 x 720 pixels (18:9 aspect ratio). Now this OPPO A83 comes with single camera setup.

There is a 13MP single camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 8MP single camera on the front with a f/2.2 aperture. Other features are 4G, VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, FM radio and Bluetooth 4.2. As mentioned a 3180 mAh battery powers the A83. Finger print sensor is missing and for unlocking you can use the Face Unlock features not sure if it is as fast as seen on the OP5T.
