OnePlus will launch OnePlus 5 soon and company will continue selling OnePlus 3/3T by end of 2017. Most of you would want to wait for OnePlus 5 but the good news is that even if you buy the OnePlus 3 or the OnePlus 3T you will get further updates.
Pete Lau via a tweet confirmed that the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T smartphones will get Android O update. If you are looking to buy the latest hardware that is a different thing but if you are happy with the hardware used on OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T, you can buy the handset and don’t have to worry about future updates.
Good news is that the OnePlus 3 / 3T will get the Android O update and the company will continue pushing updates for probably 2 more years. OnePlus 5 is something that most of you are already eagerly waiting for, it will be Snapdragon 835 powered and will come with an enhanced camera.
No Android Nougat update for OnePlus 2
Bad news for those using OnePlus 2, the company has confirmed that their OnePlus 2 model will not get Android Nougat update. However all handsets will get regular incremental updates for 24 months from its launch.
